[작가노트] 

​

나의 작업은 기억과 감정에 대한 이야기를 담고 있다.
일생 동안 마음에 담기는 감정과 기억은 무슨 색 일까..
다양한 기억의 색이 겹치고

그 위에 흐름의 형태인 결을 남긴다는 이야기로 작업을 시작했다.
무한의 반복으로 변화를 만드는 파도와 바람은  

바다로 온 나무를 어느새 유목(流木)으로 만들어 낸다. 

각자의 시간을 보내는 우리도 단 하나도 같은 모양이 없지만

모두가 유일하고 아름다운 유목(流木)의 모양새와 닮아 있다.  
색을 입히는 시간과 붓칠의 에너지는 고스란히 흔적으로 남고,
켜켜히 쌓여 완성되어 가는 것은 일생의 고유한 색채가 되는 것이 아닐까...

찰나가 차곡차곡 모여 유일한 형태의 흐름을 만드는 작업 과정은

완성이며 새로운 사물의 시작이 되었다.  
이러한 과정 속에 나의 메세지와 에너지가 기록 되는 자체로도

나의 마음은 한번 더 선명해지고

그것이 스스로의 마음에 치유와 안부를 전한다. 
그러한 찰나가 모여

누군가에게 스스로를 위한 작은 위로와 인사를 건낼 수 있기를 희망한다.

Artist Statement​

​

My work contains stories about memories and emotions.
What color are the emotions and memories

that are stored in our hearts throughout our lives?

I started my work with the story that the colors of various memories overlap

and leave a knot in the form of a flow on top of them.
The waves and wind that create changes

through infinite repetitions soon turn trees that have come to the sea into driftwood. 

Even we, who spend our own time, do not have a single identical shape,

but we all resemble the unique and beautiful shape of driftwood.

The time spent on coloring and the energy of the brush strokes remain as traces,
and what accumulates becomes the unique color of life...
The process of creating a unique flow by gathering moments is completion
and a new beginning.

Through this process, my mind becomes clearer, healed, and at peace.
Those moments gather together and become a comfort to the mind.
I hope that my work will give comfort and happiness to someone.
