성찰의 과정, 원의 반복
원은 무의식의 세계를 가장 잘 표현할 수 있는 도구로, 작품에서 내면을 의미합니다. 작품을 제작하는 방식은 흙으로 원을 만들고 그것을 이어 붙여 쌓아가는 것입니다. 본인은 이 과정에서 명상과 성찰을 경험합니다. 이는 마음과 정신을 다듬어 무아정적(無我靜寂)의 경지에 도달하는 수행 방법인 불교의 선(禪) 사상과 맞닿는 경험이라고 할 수 있습니다.
반복된 행위로 성찰 과정이 축적된 작품은 우리 주변에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 자연의 색을 흙에 담아 표현합니다. 또한 자연에서 느낄 수 있는 편안함을 작품에 담고자 살아있는 식물 또는 흙으로 만든 식물을 담아 완성하기도 합니다.
본인은 작품을 제작하는 과정에서 느꼈던 평온한 감정들이 작품에 담겨, 작품을 바라보고 사용하는 사람들에게 마음의 평안으로 전달되기를 바라며 작업을 합니다.

Introspection and the Repetition of Circles
The circle serves as a powerful tool for expressing the inner world of the subconscious. In artistic creation, the circle symbolizes our inner selves. The process of crafting involves shaping clay into circles and stacking them together. During this process, the artist experiences meditation and introspection. This practice aligns with the Buddhist concept of Zen (禪), where one refines the mind and spirit to attain a state of non-self tranquility.
The accumulated Introspection within the repetitive act of creating become artworks that capture the familiar colors of nature around us. Sometimes, living plants or sculptures made from earth are incorporated into the final piece, conveying a sense of natural comfort.
Throughout this creative journey, the artist infuses the serene emotions felt during the process into the artwork, hoping to transmit inner peace to those who observe and engage with it
