작가노트 

​

나 라는 존재에 대해 생각을 한다. 나는 누구인가?
이 고리타분한 질문을 하는 자들은 이미 수천년전부터 무수히 많이 존재했고 
현재의  과학자부터 예술가까지 여전히 많다. 
나도 그 중 하나이며 내가 미술을 하고 
또 그것이 작업의 주제가 되는것에는 더할 의심이 없다.
그렇다면 나는 예술가로서 무엇을 해야할까? 내가 작업하는 작업은 무엇일까?
결론을 말하자면 나의 작업은 레이어간의 융합이다.
내 작업속엔 나의 의지와는 상관없이 표현되어진 요소들이 존재한다.
중력에 의해 흘러내린 물감들 나는 이것을 일차 레이어라 여긴다.
기계가 표현해낸 일정한 도트들 나는 이것을 이차 레이어라 여긴다.
그리고 나는 마지막으로 상상해낸 개체 혹은 내 리드미컬한 감정표현들을 위에 덧붙인다.

그리고 이것을 삼차 레이어라 여긴다.
이처럼 우주와 시대성 그리고 나 라는 세명의 조력자들이 한 화면을 구성해 낸다고 생각한다.
자연의 법칙 자연적요소, 시대성을 상징하는 기계적 요소,  

그리고 내가 마지막 표현하는 어떤것들, 자의적요소.
이 세가지 레이어가 쌓여져 작품이 완성이 된다.
이 세가지 요소를 잘 시각적으로 아름답게 어울어지게 표현하는 것이 내 작업이며 예술가로서의 사명이다.
작업속에서처럼 나란 존재의 유무를 시간과 세상에 덧대어 상징적으로 표현해본다.
그리고 작업을 통해 이렇게 대변한다.

 "나는 우주속 현시대에 존재하고 있다."

Artist Statement​

​

I think about the existence of me. Who am I?
Many of these stereotyped questioners have been around since thousands of years ago, and there are still many people from current scientists to artists.
I am one of them, and I have no doubt that I do art and that is the subject of the work.So what should I do as an artist? What is the work I'm working on?
In conclusion, my work is the convergence between layers. There are elements in my work that are expressed regardless of my will.
The paints flowing down by gravity, I consider this the primary layer. The constant dots expressed by the machine, I consider this a secondary layer.
And I add my last imaginative object or my rhythmical expression of emotion on them. And I consider this the third layer.
In this way, I think that three helpers, the universe, the age, and I make up a screen.
Natural elements, the laws of nature, the mechanical elements that symbolize the age, and the things I express last, arbitrary elements.
These three layers are stacked to complete the work.
It is my work and my mission as an artist to express these three elements visually and beautifully and harmoniously.
As in my work, I add my existence and nonexistence to the time and the world symbolically to express them.
And so through my work I represent.
"I exist in the present age in space."
