플레이볼 공장 - 몸체의 에피소드  

​

하나의 손으로 공갈 젖꼭지 같은 헛된 욕망의 공을 들고 있다.
작업에 등장하는 플레이볼은 현실 원칙이 제시한 욕망의 상징이다.

현실 원칙은 공장의 부품처럼 사유를 잃어버린 어떤 새로운 인간으로 불완전한 진화를 원한다.
부풀어 오른 발과 커진 손가락, 단절된 몸체, 뒤엉켜 있는 육체들로 끝없는 결핍, 분열, 불안과 만나고 있다.

플레이볼은 어떠한 상징, 아무개 기호이며 
플레이볼 공장은 내가 없는 나의 원더랜드이다.
타자의 욕망을 꿈꾸는 삶은 죽어가는 삶의 황폐한 모습이다.
정신과 육체의 불안정한 균형으로, 기능을 상실한 몸체에 대한 에피소드를 작업한다.

A ball factory - Episodes of the body

 

The work features a hand, holding a ball meant to portray the notion of empty desire.

It is the desire to evolve into a new, different human, by losing bits of one's reason like parts in a factory.

One is always confronting the fact that they are lacking and fearful. 
And this is shown by the swollen feet and fingers, the disconnected and twisted bodies.
The ball is a symbol, lending meaning to the ball factory as a wonderland where one doesn't have to exist as oneself.
To dream of being another is to live a fading, wasted life.
Thus, this work features a body made useless due to the disconnect it has with the mind.
