2023 관점: Point of View, H.아트브릿지, 서울

​

일상 속 순간순간을 사진에 담는다. 
어느 날 사진첩을 정리하며 들여다봤을 때 한 대상의 전체가 아닌 대상의 일부분이 공간을 채우고 있었다. 
돌이켜보면 나는 전체적인 하나의 무언가를 담을 때 보다 그 대상이 갖고 있는 부분적이 형태의 사진을 담는 것을 즐겼다.

부분은 대상을 깊게 더 관찰하게 되며 본래의 대상이 갖고 있는 형태가 아닌 다른 느낌으로 다가오기도 한다. 
같은 사물이더라도 사진을 담을 때 빛의 양 바람의 세기 등의 외부적 요인으로 
사진마다 외각의 형태는 다양하고 그 대상이 갖고 있는 어둠의 양과 모양도 다양하다. 

이러한 매력으로 주변에 흔히 볼 수 있는 자연물을 대상으로 작업에 담아내었다.
작품 속 내용은 숲, 그 안에 것들의 부분이다. 
숲이 멀리서 바라봤을 때 평온하지만 안에 부분으로 가시적인 부분들이 많다. 
이러한 특징에 집중해 대상을 극대화여 표현하였고 작품 속 숲의 평온은 사라지고 패턴화된 형상으로 남는다.

Artist Statement​

​

I capture moments in my daily life in photos.
One day, when I was organizing my photo album and looking into it, 
I found that a part of an object, not the entire object, was filling the space.
Looking back, I enjoyed capturing the partial form of the subject rather than capturing the whole thing.

The part observes the object more deeply, and sometimes comes with a different feeling than the original object.
Even for the same object, the external factors such as the amount of light and the strength of the wind 
when taking a photo vary in the shape of the exterior and the amount and shape of the darkness the object has.

With this charm, he captured natural objects that are common around him in his work.
The content in the work is a part of the forest and the things in it.
The forest is calm when viewed from a distance, but there are many visible parts inside.
By concentrating on these characteristics, the subject was expressed in a maximized way, 
and the tranquility of the forest in the work disappears and remains as a patterned shape.
