작업노트 

​

가끔 상상을 하곤 한다. 내가 살고 있는 이 세상 어느 곳에 내가 모르는 세상이 있지 않을까… 하고… 
여행을 좋아하는 나는 새로운 곳에서 얻어오는 이미지들을 나의 작업에 중요한 요소들로 사용한다. 여러 곳의 이미지들을 조합하여 나만의 공간으로 재구성하며 새로운 환경으로 만들어진다. 자연적 요소에 작은 자동차, 기차, 장난감들이 부유하는 풍경은 가끔 상상하는 내가 모르는 ‘어떤 낯선 곳’이 된다.
매일 현실적이지 않은 공간을 표현하며 꿈을 꾸듯 ‘숨겨진 세상’을 찾아가는 여행을 떠난다.

Artist Statement

​

I often spend time thinking to myself, “Is there another world out there that I don’t know about? Is there a world that is different from mine?”

I love to travel and the images from the new places I visit become important elements in my work. Combining images from various places and forming them into my own personal space, leads to the creation of a new environment.
The landscape where natural elements, small cars, trains, and toys seem to wander about, becomes the strange place I sometimes imagine.
As I spend time every day expressing this unrealistic environment, like a dream, I set off on a trip to find the hidden world.
