​

<상호관입: 공간의 움직임>

​

‘공간의 분리, 공간 속의 공간, 공간의 잠입, 공간의 이탈’

​

상호관입의 사전적 의미는 피차가 서로 꿰뚫어 들어감을 뜻한다. 현대건축에서 상호관입은 동시성(simultaneity), 중첩(overlapping), 중합(superimposed), 투명성(transparency), 양면적 가치(ambivalence), 다층(multilayered), 시.공(space-time) 등과 동의어로 자주 사용되고 있다. 이 개념으로부터 작가는 유동적 공간을 만들어내는데 이때 공간의 볼륨을 구성하는 요소로 선을 선택한다. 줄이 공간을 나누고 선적인 오브제들이 곳곳에 배치됨에 따라 지각적 인식과 실제적인 공간과 시각의 거리차에서 깊이감과 방향성이 만들어진다. 그리고 이 방향성은 시선을 흡수하여 이동을 유도한다. 드로잉, 유기적 형태의 도자기, 줄, 천, 철사 등 유연한 오브제들을 통해 만들어진 시각적 운동감은 멈춰있는 동시에 움직이는 듯한 생동감을 담고 있다. 따라서 선의 다양한 측면들은 관람자로 하여금 동적시각(Kinetic Vision) 혹은 이동시각(Vision in Motion)을 요구한다.

Artist Statement

​

<Inter Coursing: movement of space>

​

'Separate of space, space in space, infiltration of space, departure of space.'

​

Inter Coursing is to penetrate each other. In modern architecture, Inter Coursing are frequently used as synonyms for simultaneity, overlapping, superimposed, transparency, ambivalence, multilayer, and space-time. From this concept, the author creates a fluid space, where she chooses a line as the element that makes up the volume of the space. As lines divide space and line objects are placed everywhere, depth and orientation are created in the difference between perception and actual space and visual distance. And this orientation absorbs the eye and induces the movement. The visual motifs created through flexible objects such as drawing, organic forms of pottery, strings, fabrics and wires contain a sense of life that appears to be stationary and moving at the same time. Thus, the various aspects of the line require the viewer to have a Kinetic Vision or Vision in Motion.
